An in-depth analysis of the Entertainment Preferences before and after Covid-19 among Engineering Students of West Bengal

The Covid- 19 pandemic had a significant impact on populations throughout the world. As countries implemented lockdowns or restrictions movement of people, and most services activities were shifted to online mode, it cascading effect social lives too. usual entertainment recre- ational choices no longer viable, people their attention towards other modes entertainment, viz., digital media etc. young adults, college students have rich varied life. present study investigates trends among engineering West Bengal. utilizes descriptive inferential statistical tools using SPSS version 20 investigate how affected by pan- demic. reveals that, while cultural/sports out- ings two preferred offline pre post- pandemic, percentage forms post-pandemic [(Saha)]. On hand, in case choices, number preferring streaming increased (48.3 % from 40%). It has also been found that stu- dents spent more time mediums than before (4 hours 3.2 per day average). A decrease average monthly expenditure can be observed for increase is noted consumption (Saha). Interestingly, gender an entertain- ment preferences all cases, area residence (rural/urban) only post pandemic.
